Gage, 30, made 11 appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022, pitching to a 1.38 ERA in 13 innings with 12 strikeouts.
The Blue Jays designated Gage for task after agreeing to signal Chad Green to a multi-year contract.
Originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2014, Gage signed as a free agent with the Blue Jays previous to the 2022 season and — along with his time with the big-league membership — threw 42.1 innings in Triple-A with the Buffalo Bisons, ending with a 2.34 ERA and 46 strikeouts.
