Winnipeg police have safely arrested Michael Klimchuk, 62, after he allegedly kidnapped a 25-year-old lady and her toddler at random on Friday, RCMP say.

Winnipeg police have safely arrested Michael Klimchuk, 62, after he allegedly kidnapped a 25-year-old lady and her toddler at random on Friday, RCMP say.

Klimchuk is now within the custody of the Portage la Prairie RCMP, in line with a Sunday news launch.

He has been needed since Friday night when police say he evaded arrest through the use of harmful driving techniques earlier than abandoning his automobile.

That’s when police say the 25-year-old lady stopped on the aspect of the highway close to Portage la Prairie to assist him, since he seemed to be in medical misery. 

Both the girl and toddler are actually protected, police introduced on Saturday. The lady referred to as them on Friday round 6:30 p.m., saying they have been protected in Winnipeg’s Polo Park space, and that the person who kidnapped them had fled the automobile within the metropolis.
