‘Dances with Wolves’ actor arrested, accused of running sex cult, abusing young girls  | 24CA News

After a months-long investigation, Dances with Wolves actor Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse was arrested and charged on suspicion of operating a cult and sexually assaulting a large number of younger Indigenous ladies over the past twenty years.

The Las Vegas dwelling of Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, who goes by Nathan Chasing Horse, and his 5 wives was raided on Tuesday night, in line with The Associated Press, which first reported the story. Chasing Horse was arrested and brought into custody.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) stated Chasing Horse was arrested on six fees: sexual assault of a kid lower than 16 years outdated, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of intercourse trafficking of an grownup and youngster abuse/neglect.

He can also be accused of recording sexual assaults and arranging intercourse with the victims for different males who paid him.

Chasing Horse, 46, has not commented publicly on the costs towards him.

A 50-page search warrant by the LVMPD and obtained by The Associated Press accused Chasing Horse of being the chief of a cult referred to as The Circle.

Chasing Horse, who’s greatest identified for his function because the younger Sioux tribe member Smiles a Lot within the Oscar-winning Kevin Costner movie Dances with Wolves, is acknowledged by many as a healer and religious chief. Police allege Chasing Horse used this affect to abuse Indigenous ladies within the U.S. and Canada.

Las Vegas police recognized at the least six victims, some as younger as 13, within the search warrant. Police allege considered one of Chasing Horse’s wives was supplied to him as a “gift” when she was 15, whereas one other grew to become his spouse after turning 16.

“Nathan Chasing Horse used spiritual traditions and their belief system as a tool to sexually assault young girls on numerous occasions,” the warrant reads.

The allegations of abuse by Chasing Horse reportedly started within the early 2000s.

Chasing Horse was born on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, which is dwelling to the Sicangu Sioux, one of many seven tribes of the Lakota nation.

According to the warrant, he was banished in 2015 from the Fort Peck Reservation in Poplar, Mont., amid allegations of human trafficking.

The LVMPD investigation is ongoing.

Canadian affect and potential victims

In a launch on Wednesday morning, the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service in Alberta stated it has been collaborating and sharing info with the LVMPD as a part of the investigation.

The launch added there could also be different victims in Alberta. The Tsuut’ina Nation police are working with the Calgary Police Service and different police companies throughout the province to assist those that could need to come ahead.

“We are further reviewing all related historical sexual assault files and working with a dedicated Crown Prosecutor to ensure all victims have a voice,” the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service’s launch learn.
