CMHC reports annual pace of housing starts slowed in December
OTTAWA –
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. says the annual tempo of housing begins in December slowed 5 per cent in contrast with November.
The nationwide housing company says the seasonally adjusted annual charge of housing begins in December was 248,625 items in contrast with 263,022 in November.
The drop got here because the annual tempo of city begins fell 5 per cent to 227,708.
The charge of multi-unit city begins dropped 4 per cent to 182,850, whereas the tempo of single-detached city begins fell 11 per cent to 44,858.
Rural begins had been estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual charge of 20,917 items for December.
The six-month transferring common of the month-to-month seasonally adjusted annual charges of housing begins was 269,930 in December, down one per cent from 273,801 in November.
