Ontario GO Train doors to close prior to departure time | 24CA News
Starting Monday, the doorways on Metrolinx’s GO practice providers will shut a minute earlier than their departure time.
Metrolinx mentioned the transfer was designed to ensure trains left on time and arrived at stations alongside the route on schedule.
“We have been communicating this to customers starting January 2, 2023,” a spokesperson for Metrolinx mentioned. “Customers are being informed through PA, digital sign messaging, OTG alerts and CSA onboard train announcements.”
All GO trains will likely be affected by the altering starting Monday, Jan. 9, although UP Express trains from downtown Toronto and GO buses throughout the system won’t shut their doorways early.
