Target recalls thousands of kids’ weighted blankets from U.S. markets after 2 deaths – National | 24CA News

Target Corp TGT.N stated on Thursday it has recalled about 204,000 Pillowfort weighted blankets for kids after receiving experiences of two fatalities.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated a 4-year-old lady and a 6-year-old lady reportedly grew to become entrapped within the cowl of the weighted blanket and died on account of asphyxia in April 2022.

Target stated it was within the technique of alerting customers and urging them to return the product for a full refund.

The retailer completely bought the recalled merchandise at brick-and-mortar shops nationwide and on its web site from Dec. 2018 by way of Sept. 2022.
